This is one of the best remedies for treating a heat stroke. Make onion paste and apply it on the forehead of the person. Applying onion juice on the back of ears and chest, is also helpful in keeping the body temperature down. For therapeutic purposes, onion juice is more desirable, but you can roast some raw onions with cumin and honey and have it. Raw onions in chutneys or salads can also cool your body.

2. Aam Panna

Aam Panna or Raw Mango Juice is a great drink to relieve from heat stroke. Aam Panna is enriched with ingredients like cumin powder, mint leaves, sugar and kala namak which provides both energy and electrolytes. This drink should be consumed at least two times in a day.

3. Buttermilk

Buttermilk has natural supplements that can help to control your body temperature. It is a good source of probiotics and helps in replenishing your body temperature with essential minerals, vitamins and other nutrients lost due to excessive sweating.

4. Coconut Water

Coconut water works similar to Buttermilk. It helps replenish the lost electrolytes from the body, due to excessive sweating. Drinking coconut water 2 to 3 times a day not only keeps your body hydrated and body temperature down but also improves your skin quality.

5. Sandalwood Paste

Mix some sandalwood powder with water to form a paste and apply it on your forehead and chest. Its cooling properties will bring down your body temperature. Alternatively, massage some sandalwood oil on your forehead. You can also use the oil to soothe irritable skin.
